Fresh Cuts: Prairie Skirts

Call them what you like: prairie skirts, maxi skirts, long skirts, a-little-tricky-to-get-in-the-car-but-I-really-like-it skirts, or it's-time-to-hide-the-holiday-pounds skirt. Like any good skirt, they come in all shapes, sizes, colors, designs, patterns and materials. Fight me if you will, but I seriously don't understand how people don't like skirts! Sure, there not every skirt is alike, but I am thoroughly convinced there is a style and cut for each body type that will both flatter AND be incredibly comfortable. You can't deny that skirts are more forgiving than your average jeans. I like to call them "grace". That's it. If I ever start designing my own line of skirts, I will call it "Grace". Don't steal my name. Although I'll try to practice a little grace on you if you do.

Ok, ok, enough rambling. Here are today's Fresh Cuts.

Accordian Cutout Skirt
Bedford Falls Skirt
Flounced Wrap Skirt
Spotted Seam Maxi
Stilt Striders Skirt
Pleats Abounding Maxi
Which style of skirt works for your body type?

What do you think of skirts?

Fresh Cuts: High & Low

Today allowed me very little time to do or think about myself, hence why I am here at 10:30pm working on today's Fresh Cuts. I guess they're not so fresh anymore :(

Today is what happens when you get back from 6 (glorious) days off in a row.

Today is what happens when you need to fit in a workout to fight those holiday (and birthday) pounds. I guess birthday calories DO count.

Today is what happens when the morning comes faster than your body was prepared for.

Today is what happens when you are forced back into reality.

It wasn't a bad day, just a day. There were some highs and lows, some highish-lows and some lowish-highs. In today's honor, here are some of the lowest and highest priced Fresh Cut items.

Lowest:
Borealis Drop Earrings
Enclosed Stone Danglers
Immeasurable Marks Loop
Look Smart Pouch
Highest:
Clarissa Coat
Valea Skirt
Draping Shearling Jacket
Supine Satchel

Fresh Cuts: I Want it ALL

This post has absolutely nothing to do with Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving with all my heart, as I previously mentioned, but I have yet to decide what "Thanksgiving" type of post to write. Who knows, maybe I will forgo writing about it all together. That's kind of my style...going against the grain sometimes :)

Anyways, I think I figured out what took Anthropologie soooo long to update their "Fresh Cuts" page. And by "sooo long" I mean like, 2 days (or for all I know it was actually updated yesterday. I didn't have a lot of screen time yesterday). I happened to glance at their site today just in case anything struck my fancy, and lo and behold their Fresh Cuts are POPPIN today. Journals, books, accessories, home goods, and even kids' clothes! Maybe they were holding out until closer to Black Friday? Either way, I am currently wishing I had oodles of moolah to dress my sweet (& feisty) nieces, but for now I will settle on just being thankful for having them :)

Here is a little taste of what to expect from the Fresh Cuts page. But seriously, like I tell you every week...you need to go see for yourself!

How I would like to dress myself:
Smoke Signs Blouse
Citizens of Humanity Brass High-Legs
Triangle Reflection Drops
How I would like to dress one of my nieces (pretty sure none of them would let me):

Malted Tweed Cardigan
Tussie-Mussie  Skirt
Silver-Shined T-Straps
And if someone else were paying (as if I can actually buy the items above!):

Enchanted Morning Jewelry Box, Bunny
Bubble Bluebird Journal
Solid Socks
Endless Necklace
Geri Boxer Shorts
Heathered Hillside Cardigan
Seriously, there is too much stuff to pass up today. So GOOOOO

Fresh Cuts: Boots

Hooray! It's Tuesday! Seriously, these "Fresh Cuts" posts on Tuesdays are becoming my favorite. I may need to brainstorm an idea of how to post more products from Anthropologie...there is just TOO much good stuff to not highlight! I think my goal in life is to bring everyone into the light of how great Anthropologie really is.

When I first opened up the Fresh Cuts page this morning my first reaction was, "Ah! Boots!"This is the perfect time of year to pull out your boots, or if you're like me, start looking for a pair. I have one pair of mock cowgirl boots from Target that I love, but they aren't the type of boot you can wear with everything. Maybe I'll use my Anthro birthday card to buy myself an even more discounted pair...bingo!

Now that the weather is a little bit cooler and flip-flops are moving into the "off-season" category (although they are never fully in that category seeing that I live in SoCal) I can't help but have boot envy. It happens every year. There are always classics taunting my name, as well as more unique styles that I can't help but dream about. A good friends of mine ALWAYS has good boots this time of year. They cute-ify absolutely every outfit she wears and instantly make her look put together. I have GOT to get me a pair! But until I do, here are the boots that currently have me licking my lips and wagging my tail.

Inkwood Boots
Steep Buckle Moto Boots
Brass Tacks Boots
High-Tied Boots
Hyssop Booties
Rainier Ridge Boots
Buckled Triad Booties
Now if only my calves weren't so big...

Fresh Cuts: Chairs

I'm struggling a bit here-not for lack of creativity, just a lack of time.

Today is was an early start day for me and somehow I managed to make it an even earlier start by offering to take kids to school. Ya about that...

There are honestly SO many things I want to show you from the Fresh Cuts Page, but there simply isn't enough time for me to link you to all 55 items. So instead I will show you some of the goods I am absolutely swooning over this morning evening (and by swoon I mean drool, and by drool I mean, cantlivewithoutwishihadmoremoneytospendonthingsidontneed).

It's not as common to find homegoods on the Fresh Cuts page, but today Anthropologie stepped up their game and gave us a little variety. For the sake of keeping things "fresh", here is a variety of chairs they currently have posted that I would give my right leg for. No pun intended.

Stacking Dining Chair
Windsor Butterfly Chair
Wilcox Stool
Astrid Chair, Posy
Winifred Colorblock Chair, Houndstooth
Now please, click here to see all the other amazing things on the Fresh Cuts page! There is simply too much goodness you don't want to miss. So much so that I may need to do Fresh Cuts #2 this week :)

Fresh Cuts: It's that time again...

It's that time again...for three things actually.

1) Another hint at what I got in the mail this past weekend. Here is your second opportunity to take a guess. (This is the last hint)

2) It's that time again for something special...referred to in the picture above :)

3) It's that time again for more Fresh Cuts! I may need to do a little research because after looking at the Anthropologie website today, I discovered that TODAY (not Tuesday) they updated their "Fresh Cuts" Page. So is Wednesday the new day? I had a feeling they hadn't updated much when I looked yesterday, but let's be honest, there are ALWAYS items I want from that page. So here is this week's second installment of Fresh Cuts!

Elecampane Peasant
Pilcro Straight Ankle Chinos
Vivid Brink Belt
Chiapas Scarf
Swinside Danglers
Add a pair of ballet flats to this look and call it a day!

Well, after a couple of rough days and equally rough nights of sleep, my sister told me to "grab a cup of coffee and go walk somewhere that inspires you," so I'm going to do that. I already got the coffee part in the bag (or rather my belly) so I'm off to a walk and a stop at none other than...Anthropologie!

Be back later with more thoughts...hopefully inspired ones!

Fresh Cuts: Happy November!

Here's another installment of Fresh Cuts! If you didn't catch last Tuesday's post and you don't stalk Anthropologie like I do, then you should know Anthropologie comes out with their new sale items on Tuesdays. Hence why my week often revolves around Tuesday. (Note regarding the "stalking" comment: I've definitely had multiple employees tell me as I check out "Ya, I thought you looked familiar." Call me creepy, but you'll be the one wishing YOU had found skirt for $0.67. Ya--you can be jealous. It happened.)

So anyways, it's November, which in my opinion means you need to start wearing autumn inspired clothes (even in Southern California). Please enjoy this week's Fresh Cuts!

Side-Snap Turtleneck
Passant Blouse
Calligraphy Strokes Skirt
Unmatched Shoulder Bag
Katariina Wedges

What are you wishing and hoping for from this weeks Fresh Cuts??

Fresh Cuts

Tuesdays are good days. In case you didn't know, I <3 Anthropologie with all my <3. I wouldn't say my week revolves around Tuesdays, but the moment at which I remember "Ah! It's Tuesday!" all things become right in the world. Girl World that is.

You see, Tuesdays are the day when Anthropologie adds new items to their sale section known as "Fresh Cuts". These are all the goodies I've been eyeing and all the items I didn't know I needed...until Tuesday rolled around. Chances are the cost of these items will drop at least once more (except for the uber-popular products that disappear before I make it back to my shopping cart where I store items I pretend I will buy) but here are the Fresh Cuts that gives me hope that maybe, just maybe I'll one day have a closet that more closely resembles the sale room at Anthropologie. Until that day comes, here are the items from today's Fresh Cuts that made it into my shopping cart.

Tangerine Flicker Dress

Keswick Coat

Accordion Shoulder Bag

Doily Flounce Flats
